ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT - MONDAY 1 JUNE - 7PM

Well done to all the boys who received their programme badges tonight on completing session 2025-26 - Anchors (Blue/Green/Red Badges); Juniors (Bronze/Silver/Gold); Company (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and Seniors (Bronze/Silver/GOld/Platinum) and service badges from 1 to 13 years. Congratualtions to Jack & Noah who received their President's Badges and will soon commence their Kings Badge journey.

Congratulations to this year's trophy recipients as well, pictured below (also available on our facebook page).

ANCHORS TRIP: SATURDAY 6 JUNE

The final activity of this session takes place on Saturday 6 June - our Anchors Summer Trip. The destination - Heads of Ayr Farm Park - is a very popular destination amongst the boys.

So here's hoping we get a good day with the weather and no seagulls pinching boys' packed lunch sandwiches, as they did last year!

Photos from our trip will be loaded to our Facebook page in due course.

FUNDRAISING FOR BEATSON TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

Our chosen charity this year is Beatson Teenage Cancer Trust, with funds being raised in memory/tribute to a 212th member that we lost to cancer 20 years ago at the age of 15, Shaun McBride. Shaun was a dedicated member of the Company from Anchors through to Seniors and prior to his passing was the recipient of the Best Senior Trophy. We continue to remember Shaun each year through the presentation of a trophy dedicated in his name which is awarded to the Best Company Boy.

We held a fundraising 'soup & sandwich' lunch after church back in March, which raised a phenominal £600 and since then boys have been collecting loose change as well raising funds through their own bake sales (kudos to Ben & Harry for that). With all the funds collected, the totaliser sits at £1312 - the biggest amount we've raised for a nominated charity . Super impressed with all the efforts across all sections - well done to all.
