Enrolment for Session 2018/19 kicked off on Friday 17 August 2018.

It was good to see a large number of boys from last year re-enrolling for the new session ahead., which will be jam-packed with events and activities across all sections.

Check out our calendar of events to see some of the activities already in our plan for the year. Some are still to be confirmed but take a note of the dates, and keep them clear if you want to attend.

A large uniform order was submitted to BB supplies and hopefully these will be received w/c 27 August 2018.

Here's hoping for some more returning members and also any new members who wish to join the 'best BB in Bishopbriggs" - the 212th!

Another successful summer camp kicked off at the end of June, with destination one being an overnight stay at Coniston followed by 7 nights at the BB residential centre at Kirkham. The 8 days away - probably the warmest since Direlton 1984 - included paintballing, gorge walking, the thrills of the roller coasters at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the slides at the Sandcastle Waterpark and the escape room challenge at ClueHQ. And on top of that there was football, basketball, cricket, softball and for some a paddle in the sea at St Annes.

A great week had by the 18 boys in attendance - here's to 2019!!

Anchor Boys annual summer trip headed to Blair Drummond Safari Park and thanks to some exceptional weather, a great time was had - all resplendent in their special edition Anchors t-shrits.

Thirteen boys attended and they got to see lots of animals, including a baby rhino, a monkey taking a short cut across our minibus, and a bird of prey demonstration. The boys also explored the adventure fort, and took ownership of the climbing frame. The giant slide also proved popular and an impromptu water fight helped everyone cool down on what was an exceptional day with the thermometer topping 26c.

And the day was rounded off by a visit to the gift shop for some souvenir buying!!

In a change of destination, Junior Section headed north to the Cairngorms for their annual camp over the weekend of 18-20 May 2018.

Staying at the Cairngorm Christian Centre, and handily paced to enjoy the multitude of activities and atrractions available in the National Park, the 18 boys and 5 officers enjoyed a jam-packed weekend, which included a day out at Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge, swimming at the Aviemore Centre and paddle boarding on Loch Insh. And of course, not forgetting a few games of bingo on Saturday night.

A great time was hadby all and a return visit is already being planned for 2019.
