THE BB BIG BRUNCH
An early session activity for Company Section boys with an orienteering event at Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie.
18 boys attended the activity and worked together in teams to navigate there way around the park obtaining symbols/words from the orienteering posts they had to find.
An enjoyale evening was had by all. The midgies stayed away, which was a help. Boys are pictured at the end of the evening.
The Big Brunch is a BB Scotland initiative that looks to celebrate the Year of Young People - and over 80 BB compaies across will be doing the same - bringing together young people and members of the wider community at similar events to celebrate our 'young people'.
The boys (and staff) will be serving up tea/coffee and a hot filled roll for £3pp. As well as that, you can try your luck (or not!) on our tombola.
All funds raised from the event are going to MND Scotland who provide care and support, to people like Stephen Crompton, a former member/officer, and friend, of the 212th, Stephen Crompton, who was disagnosed earlier this year with MND. So we're doing our bit to help MND Scotland continue to provide that valuable support and fund research into finding a cure.
Hope to see you on Saturday 27 October.

SUMMER CAMP 2018
Another successful summer camp kicked off at the end of June, with destination one being an overnight stay at Coniston followed by 7 nights at the BB residential centre at Kirkham. The 8 days away - probably the warmest since Direlton 1984 - included paintballing, gorge walking, the thrills of the roller coasters at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the slides at the Sandcastle Waterpark and the escape room challenge at ClueHQ. And on top of that there was football, basketball, cricket, softball and for some a paddle in the sea at St Annes.
A great week had by the 18 boys in attendance - here's to 2019!!
A selction pictures opposite - more available on our facebook page.
Anchor Boys annual summer trip headed to Blair Drummond Safari Park and thanks to some exceptional weather, a great time was had - all resplendent in their special edition Anchors t-shrits.
Thirteen boys attended and they got to see lots of animals, including a baby rhino, a monkey taking a short cut across our minibus, and a bird of prey demonstration. The boys also explored the adventure fort, and took ownership of the climbing frame. The giant slide also proved popular and an impromptu water fight helped everyone cool down on what was an exceptional day with the thermometer topping 26c.
And the day was rounded off by a visit to the gift shop for some souvenir buying!!
